Quality Control (QC)
Quality control, often shortened to QC, is the systematic checking of audio against technical and editorial standards before it is delivered.[1] It catches problems such as dropouts, distortion, incorrect levels, sync errors, and missing or wrong content, so that faults are found in the studio rather than by the audience.
Effective QC combines careful listening with measurement tools and clear checklists tied to each platform's specifications. As the last line of defense before release, it protects both the quality of the work and the reputation of everyone involved in producing it.[2]
