Mixing for Streaming & Broadcast

Mixing for streaming and broadcast prepares content to meet the technical and loudness requirements that distribution platforms enforce.[1] Services and broadcasters specify target loudness levels and true peak limits so that programs sound consistent and do not jump in volume, and a compliant mix is built with those targets in mind.

Beyond loudness, this work considers how a mix will hold up across the wide range of devices people use, from cinema systems to phone speakers and earbuds. Meeting the specifications avoids automatic adjustment by the platform and keeps the creative balance intact on delivery.[2]
