Voice-Over (VO)
Voice-over is a production technique in which a voice that is not part of the on screen action is recorded and added to the soundtrack.[1] It is heard in narration, commentary, advertising, documentaries, and instructional content, where a speaker addresses the audience or explains what is happening.
Effective voice-over depends on casting the right voice, clear direction, and clean recording, since the speaker often carries information or tone on their own. In media production it is a flexible tool for guiding the audience, establishing perspective, and delivering content efficiently.[2]
