Audio Description
Audio description is an additional narration track that describes the important visual elements of a program for people who are blind or have low vision.[1] Inserted into natural pauses in the dialogue, it conveys actions, settings, expressions, and other details that would otherwise be missed.
Producing it involves writing concise descriptions, timing them to fit the gaps in the soundtrack, and recording and mixing them so they sit comfortably alongside the original audio. Audio description is an important accessibility service and is increasingly required by broadcasters and content regulations.[2]
